Hey, VegSourcers! We're only a few days away from the big VegSource Conference 2003 bash! It's not too late to sign up for the event of the year!

We've added some fascinating speakers for the weekend - James Cromwell, star of Babe and LA Confidential, will be speaking on Saturday, Sept. 20; Sister Gita, from the Brahma Kumari church (http://www.bkwsu.com/about/index.html) and Reverend Brenda Lamothe, of the First AME Church, Los Angeles (http://207.201.175.233/FAME2003/), will be joining the spiritual panel taking place on Sunday, Sept 21.

RATHA YATRA   (Sunday October 5th)

ISKCON is participating in the Global Peace Mission which is being held all
over the world, when many religious leaders join together to propagate the
message of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (The World is One Family).  Our great
Rath Chariot will be a major part of the parade being held on Sunday October 5th.

All ISKCON devotees are asked to assemble with the Chariot at the Mahatma
Gandhi Centre before 11.00 am on that day.  The parade will go from the
Gandhi Centre to the Bharatiya Mandir in Balmoral Road, ending at 1.00 pm.
Programmes will then be held at the Ericsson Stadium, organised by the

Hare Krishna devotees may return to the temple for the Sunday Feast.  The
usual Sunday programme and Feast will be held at the Riverhead temple for
those who are not participating in the Parade.
 

World Animal Day
Sydney, Saturday 4 October, 2003
World Animal Day will be celebrated in St Leonards Park, Miller Street, North Sydney (across the road from the Hare Krishna temple)
from 11.00am to 3.30pm.
There will be stalls representing various animal welfare groups, including the AVS. Vegan food and refreshments will be available.
