I have always been attracted to this glorious form of the Lord, for as long as I can remember. This attraction only increased as I got older. Finally, I asked my spiritual master, Ravindra Svarupa Prabhu, if he would give me his blessings to start this worship. Even though I didn't have any silas, I felt it was very important to obtain his approval for such a decision and then wait for the Lord to come. So, with my guru's blessings, I started collecting all the appropriate paraphernalia and awaited the Lord's arrival. That day finally came on Pavitraropanna Ekadasi of 2006. I was having a leisurely evening with my daughter and there was a knock at the door. I opened it to see my god-sister, Pavitra dasi, standing there with her hand extended. With a smile on her face and a questioning look on mine, she handed me something and promptly left. It was all very mysterious at that moment. In my hand I looked at a yellow silken cloth and with my heart pumping opened it to find my dreams had been fulfilled. Oh, my Lord, how beautiful! Upon careful inspection, I found a series of small hoof prints adorning Him. Sri Govinda had come! As if things couldn't get any better, Mataji gave me a Dwarka-sila known as Ananta-sesa a few days later. So, upon the advice of Jaya Tirtha Caran Prabhu, I started my seva-puja on Nanda Mahotsava with panchamrta. To this day I worship with Purusa-sukta verses and 16 upacaras with mudras. I humbly request the blessings of all the vaisnavas that I can continue this service to the Lord.
My family and I were attending the Panihati Festival at the Atlanta Temple just recently. I ran into my friend Manavendra dasa who serves as a pujari there. We were having some "sila" katha when he all of a sudden he says "I am going to give you a Salagrama-Sila." My jaws dropped. I then said "I have been praying to Laxmi-Narasinga to come for worship for so long now." He then replied "I will give you my best Laxmi-Narasinga Sila." He later told me that he just knew and felt in his heart that I was their pujari instantly. So I started the puja on the following Ekadasi(Parama) with pancamrta and followed with homa.
Laxmi-Narasimha ki jaya
Laxmi-Narasimha ki jaya
Govindaji
Sri Sri Radha Krsna
followed with homa.
