Different devotees according to their nature worship the Salagram.

Sometimes a reflex knee-jerk reaction comes to mind when devotees use the term "natural", for it has come to be associated with the prakriti shajya group(s) of the Apasampradayas who mistakingly try to engage in the loving affairs of Radha and Krishna using the unpurified senses as methods to reach "bhav", love of God. As you will read in the link on Apasampradayas, consequently their hightened intimacy of "love" with others turns to mundane sex between male and female and homosexual  episodes as imitators enact Krishna's pastimes with the gopis in the dead of night in the forest. Those "natural urges" mixed with Krishna consciousness we are not discussing here. Rather it is not so cheap to attain love of Godhead. If one truly understands, and or is paying the price of following the regulative system as mentioned in Shastra, by which in due course of time one does understand (Bhagavad-Gitä 12:8.)

It should be obvious by now that bhakti is not merely pious thoughts of “love” but rather fearless action. Närada asks nothing less of the bhakta than complete surrender and complete dedication unto the will of Bhagavän. But if at any point one feels himself unable to reach the ideals taught by Närada, he is not condemned. Lord Krishna also says that if we cannot achieve the topmost surrender, then we should do what we can and try to progress gradually (see Bhagavad-Gitä 12.8–12). But we should be humble about our inability to fully surrender to Lord Krishna. We should not attempt to change the uncompromising teachings in order to justify our weakness. Närada and the Vaishnava ächäryas are asking us to change our lives in order to become bhaktas, because that alone will make us eternally happy. The difficulties we feel in making these changes are due to our material attachments. (Narad Bhakti sutras 3:48.)
