Without getting into a really big thing, we can state that the standards of cleanliness as taught by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad are beyond compare. His personal standard of hygiene were exemplary. As a Vaishnava sannyasi he bathed three times daily, washed hands meticulously after eating or even touching the mouth.
Brahminical training in the gurukula and at home, and in and around
temples, where the highest standard of cleanliness is upheld especially
by the brahminiical proisthood who interact with the Deity, hence this
is even how the term "untouchables" came about from seeing those persons
who by personal cleanliness were and are untouchable by priests who have
in many ways undergone higher standards of cleanliness.
