Both atheism and agnosticism are born of similar events. Both seem to think that they by their own prowess can provide a conclusion to the meaning of life. However, when we look a little closer something is revealed about both.
Agnosticism:
By their own confession they simply do not know.
If one doesn't know who one's father is then it might be an idea to ask one's mother. Even in this fallen age, and taking that the mother is chaste, she will know, or at worst suggest it could be this one or this one. In the ideal situation, of fully chaste mother, the Vedas are our mother and God the Father. In this way by asking or seeking out the truth from our Mother our Father can be revealed. It's certainly an easier method than going from man to man asking, "...are you my father?" Still one doesn't know if he is telling the truth....!
One needs positive direction, and most importantly such direction needs to be based in sound understanding of what it to be done and what is not to be done. This is clearly outlined in Bhagavad Gita.

In fact the analysis becomes so prominent that it's
a form of procrastination that often allows the participant access to a
cycle of analysis and re-analysis of the analysis they have made by analysing
that again and again to make sure that such life altering and important
decisions such as whether to do this or that becomes ridiculous. this cycle
is for some a form of escaping the reality of the world by objective avoidance
while they pretend to be dealing with it - actually what they are doing
is avoiding making a decision, it is an illusory realm of safety in not
making a commitment one way or the other.
Atheism - Atheists:
Atheists are generally of one of two kinds or origins;
1) out of ignorance - beyond their conception or perception
2) bad experience - this is also a form of ignorance, as they don't
understand the actions or reactions of karma, or choose to deny them.
The fact of the matter is whether we like it or chose to deny the facts, we are all originally created by God, and He has created/expanded Himself into tiny pleasure potencies so that He can enjoy a loving relationship with each and everyone of us. This is a little like that of the father in a house hold who expands his pleasure by having children. The challenge being that sometimes the children rebel, go away, or get involved in un-required - unbeneficial actions - or nonsense due to exercising their/our own teleological freewill. One who is so afflicted might argue that we need scientific evidence to make a decision - and that's okay, just don't discount the Supreme Scientist, and the knowledge He has handed down to the great devotees throughout the ages.

It has become popular among the politically correct liberalists to try to be empathetic to every opinion and inclination and hear the voice of everyone. A nice ideal, but frankly we have seen this exploited by those who especially do not have the best interest of the rest of the community at large, what to speak of the interest of the Supreme Lord. The wonderful thing about Vedik culture is that it gives one the knowledge to be able to discriminate what is beneficial and what is not, what will cause pleasure and pain, what is truth and what just sounds nice.........to the ears and intelligence of certain persons influenced by particular modes of nature ! Please don't discount the Vedik scriptures because of public opinion, or even your own limited experience be they good or bad. Please take a peek inside the nectarean vessel of Shastra, when we lift the lid and taste a surprising sweetness may be experienced - the taste of the pudding in in the eating, try this scientific experiment today, you might be pleasantly surprised.

TRANSLATION
He who discards scriptural injunctions and acts according to his own
whims attains neither perfection, nor happiness, nor the supreme destination.

As described before, the sastra-vidhi, or the direction of the sastra,
is given to the different castes and orders of human society. Everyone
is expected to follow these rules and regulations. If one does not follow
them and acts whimsically according to his lust, greed and desire, then
he never will be perfect in his life. In other words, a man may theoretically
know all these things, but if he does not apply them in his own life, then
he is to be known as the lowest of mankind. In the human form of life,
a living entity is expected to be sane and to follow the regulations given
for elevating his life to the highest platform, but if he does not follow
them, then he degrades himself. But even if he follows the rules and regulations
and moral principles and ultimately does not come to the stage of understanding
the Supreme Lord, then all his knowledge becomes spoiled. And even if he
accepts the existence of God, if he does not engage himself in the service
of the Lord his attempts are spoiled. Therefore one should gradually raise
himself to the platform of Krsna consciousness and devotional service;
it is then and there that he can attain the highest perfectional stage,
not otherwise.
The word kama-karatah is very significant. A person who knowingly violates the rules acts in lust. He knows that this is forbidden, but still he acts. This is called acting whimsically. He knows that this should be done, but still he does not do it; therefore he is called whimsical. Such persons are destined to be condemned by the Supreme Lord. Such persons cannot have the perfection which is meant for the human life. The human life is especially meant for purifying one's existence, and one who does not follow the rules and regulations cannot purify himself, nor can he attain the real stage of happiness.

Much of quantum physics is premised on Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle, which holds that it is impossible to be sure of basic information about reality. But what if the Uncertainty Principle is itself affected by uncertainty, meaning we'll never really know if it's true? For example, historians believe that the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle was devised by a man named Werner Heisenberg. But no one was ever able to obtain a photography of exactly what Heisenberg looked like--in snapshots, he appears as a sort of blur--and the famous researcher was impossible to contact because he would list his address only as "somewhere in Europe." Given this, we cannot rule out that uncertainty itself invalidates the Uncertainty Principle, leaving all modern physics in a state of unresolved crisis--which would be ideal from the standpoint of next year's budget requests.
